Designing w/ Erasure

Designing w/ Erasure

Wow, Out In McAllen has been live for about 2 days now. I’m ironing out soooo many problems its crazy! I’ve been constantly running back to my PC and every couple of minutes and listening to so much Erasure while coding, designing and writing that I’m just on a whole ‘nother level.

Couple that with the fact that I haven’t slept all night and you’ll realize I’m going nuts! BUT, I’m actually enjoying it in a way.

Up until now The Valley hasn’t exactly had a nice GBLT oriented website. Some have come and gone and for the most part they were either full of nothing or simply not given the proper attention and energy. I’m really committed to Out In McAllen and I’m in it for the long haul. (yes I realized that was horribly cliché)

I’m devoting as much time as humanly possible and trying to get things planned out for the next few weeks but I’m a bit short on time considering I’m a college student and will be taking summer courses in a few weeks. I can manage blogging and school but not endless designing and coding plus day to day life. It’s a wee bit too much for Jr.

On the tech/geek front, Out In McAllen’s kick ass personals/profiles section should make its way online way sooner than expected. The system is in place and I just have to work past a few navigational issues and the overall look, I guess a beta release wouldn’t hurt though.

The classifieds system I mentioned on the first post might not make the cut after all… I have a system very much like craigslist but realized no one actually uses craigslist itself in the RGV, or so it seems, so it’d be a waste of space in many regards but still fun to have. I’m a bit lost but oh well… I’ll close with the next two erasure videos on my playlist.

Oh, and I do realize my love of Erasure is leaking onto the site, i.e. the homepage… I don’t care but I’m open to suggestions for other videos. :D
