Idol Season Finale
I can’t seem to find many people who can agree on anything lately and American Idol is no different. With David VS David pretty much everyone thinks they know who’s going to win. My guess… David Archuleta. He’s got the teen and tween vote down and there’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll be Wednesday’s big winner.
If I’m wrong… well then I guess everyone on here can go ahead and call me a dweeb, but I’m placing my bets on the 17 year old from Utah and I’m not changing my mind while fully realizing that David Cook is a more original and versatile performer.
Just in case you forgot.
David Archuleta is a 17-year-old from Murray, Utah who auditioned in San Diego. In 2003, at the age of 12, he sang on several episodes of the television show Star Search and went on to win the season finale and the $100,000 grand prize On one episode, he competed against Alexandréa Lushington, who was a fellow semi-finalist this season. He, along with David Cook, has never been in the “Bottom 3″
Archuleta won his ticket to the Hollywood final auditions with a performance of John Mayer’s “Waiting on the World to Change”
David Cook is a 25-year-old native of Blue Springs, Missouri who auditioned in Omaha, Nebraska. Cook’s interest in music began early in life; he received his first guitar at the age of 2. Prior to Idol he worked as a bartender at the “Blank Slate” in Tulsa, where he would also occasionally play shows. He released an album entitled Analog Heart. He enjoys doing crossword puzzles in his spare time and calls himself a “word nerd.” Since the Top 12 week, he has also been wearing an orange wristband to support a 7-year-old fan with leukemia. He, along with David Archuleta, has never been in the “Bottom 3″.
Cook performed “Everything I Do I Do It for You” by Bryan Adams, accompanying himself on acoustic guitar for the Hollywood final auditions.
