Mirrors: Rod’s Review

Mirrors: Rod’s Review

So, ever been scared your reflection would go crazy and make you kill yourself? Yeah, me either, but the characters in Mirrors have to watch out for themselves –literally.

Mirrors tells the story of Ben Carson, a recovering alcoholic who only wants to get better and be with his family. To get back on his feet he takes a job being the night watchman for an old building that burned years ago; the guy who had the job before him had vanished, that’s always a good sign right? After a few nights in the huge, dark and insanely creepy building Ben starts seeing things in the mirrors. This is where the clichés kick in big-time.

Of course, if you tell someone you’re seeing strange things inside of mirrors they’re going to think you’re crazy and they’re going to see what kind of medication you’re on to on to help kick the drinking habit too. Well, now Ben has to convince his wife and kids and sister that he is not crazy.

Mirrors offers a few jump-out-of-your-seat thrills and it is quite funny at times, but it is more often silly and will have you rolling your eyes. The sub par acting, silly story and the even sillier end only gets this baby 6/10 from Rod.
